  1. 5ghz wifi 5 had very consistent 5ms latency in a test I've seen. Not far away from ethernet. Way better than 2.4ghz.
    One benefit of wifi 6 is supposed to be latency, if this is the case it's basically as good as a wired connection.
    Only question remaining is speed. Wifi 5 speed is typically theoretical ~850mbit max, my ps4 pro gets 400, my i devices 600 (with 1gbit connection).
    So running a wire is definitely worth it for me when downloading stuff.
    But with wifi 6 if the speed is improved and ps5 has generally better wifi then it possibly should reach around the 1gbit available. If it at least manages to have the theoretical 800mbit of wifi 5 that would be plenty fast.
    Having everything wireless is sure more clean and convenient

  6. In my case PS5 connects on 300 Mbit/s speed via Wi-Fi (maximum speed of my router) and 500 via cable (maximum speed of my internet). Downloading games at 40-60 Megabytes/s. While PS4 Pro connected to the same exact router and same exact cable downloads only at 20-30 Megabytes/s (around 160-240 Mbit/s). Uploaded example on my channel.
    If you have slightly less speed than your internet connection while downloading games from PSN it's either lack of Sony servers in your region or your internet provider have shitty routs to Sony servers, so you are connecting via some potato quality servers. Most likely it isn't yours hardware fault.

  11. My internet is all the way downstairs in my house, would it be better to buy a super long cat 6 cable? or should i go on amazon and buy a connecter with ethernet ports on it?
