  1. When Covid is over, you should come to america and ride on mainline steam excursions. I rode behind nickel plate road 765 back in 2018 on the Joliet rocket, best train trip ever! 765 was almost going 70mph!

  2. Petticoat Junction was on CBS TV from 1963 to1970, and is now on digital antenna TV channel ME-TV, on Saturday Morning at 4:30 a.m. Central time, with the original black and white episodes. The youngest daughter is "Bobby Jo Bradley" played by Linda Kaye Henning who is the real life daughter of the shows executive director Paul Henning. But the two older daughters were played by four other attractive women until the show settled down by 1965 when Color was introduced.
Young Bobby Jo is a high school tomboy who plays baseball, and also runs the Cannonball with Engineer Charlie, and Fireman/Conductor Floyd. But she likes to highball the engine around Deadmans Curve. Later after she married Steve and she was pregnant and in labor, she struck a blow for women's lib, and ran the engine to the Pixley hospital, and had Kathy Jo. Now coming soon in 2023 will be the 60th Anniversary of the show. Please, Hollywood, make a modern reboot, so we can see what has happened. And as a Memorial to all the veteran actresses and actors now gone. Like Uncle Joe, and his crazy make it rich schemes? But he really missed by not using the Cannonball steam engine for tourism and nostalgia, plus old Western movies. Because that is what the real Sierra Railroad No.3, 4-6-0 ten wheeler built by Rogers Co. in 1891 in Patterson New Jersey. And recently rebuilt in 2013 with a brand new welded boiler, at the Sacramento repair shops, as seen on the Pbs TV special, "Restorers". Ten wheeler #3 was used in hundreds of shows, movies, ads. Like High Noon with Garry Cooper. And Iron Horse with Gary Collins. And Casey Jones with Alan Hale Jr who was Skipper on Gilligan's Island. Later in Back to the Future #3 with Christopher Lloyd. And A-Team with Mister T. And many, many, many more. Steam Power, with Girl Power!!-! And in P.J. scenes, sometimes they used miniature special effects with " 0" guage style models, but instead of 1/4", the models are still precise 17/64th inch examples. Plus I designed new blueprints to build a miniature live steam locomotive for 1/8th scale and museum quality track guage of 7&1/16th "inch, instead of the wrong, wide 7&1/2" used here in America, like Walt Disney had in L.A. in the mid 1950's. That means I have to build 2 separated tracks for the Green Bay Live Steamers Union, Miniature Railroad Club.

  3. The rule about NOT kicking the switch is applicable to either professional or volunteer railroader, whether old or young, and regardless of gender whether male or female or mixed up what's it. LOL.

  4. Yeah engineer was KILLIN IT and I love the history of railroads and history period! Also you and your sis are almost like cut n’ paste. ? Y’all twins or just lookalike?

  5. 6:47 "Steam trains just make you smile, something about them"

Well said! Is it the appearance? The sound? The history? Either way, they really put a smile on my face. Really cool!

  6. Majority of steam locomotives where converted to burn on oil in the late 1940’s and early 1950’s, some where converted back to coal burning since it was cheaper and diesel’s where phasing them out, some restored locomotives are still coal burners ‘cuz of the high cost of maintenance on the locomotive. Here in the U.S. a steam locomotive has to go through a mandatory inspection and rebuild. It’s dope to see a Canadian Steam locomotive burning oil !

  7. that was awesome! as a resident of the east coast of the U.S. i've been enamored by the beauty of the Pacific northwest for a long time; there's just something about the nature there that has a pull on me. I wouldn't be disappointed if your vlogs were only about BC.

  8. I certainly hope that that engine is again soon. Steam engines like this are, more or less, designed to be rubuilt indefinitely. It looks well maintained. I hope it ends up back in operation.

  9. I love trains so much!! There’s never been a time when I never disliked trains, I love them all steam or diesel but steamies are always my favorite!
