6. Thank you so much for the guide! I ran into some trouble retrieving the QR code via the logs (I use portainer) it was appearing spaced out. When I copied the logs and pasted into notepad it removed extra spaced but the QR code was actually inverted. I had to save it as a photo and invert the colors and then bam instant connect. I even had tried running the command suggested in the app from a docker exec via putty and similar issues. Might just be a REALLY weird case for me but if it helps even one person I'm sharing here.

7. Looks nice. I'm looking for something to change my OpenVPN-AS. But anybody with the public key can connect? How can you ask for AD credentials, or even 2FA?

9. Thanks for the great video as always , i gave it a try and the got some error that prevent wireguard to be fully started did anyone had this issue or error ,,i see this in the log Building modules, stage 2.

10. how do you set up a strongswan ikev2 vpn server?

11. @4:46 its not clear what to do for people using just their IP. What i'm not following is how scanning the QR code relates to my device connecting to my home network. How does the app know my home networks public IP? Do I just need to get dynamic DNS (have not tried yet) working and use the environment veriable? Thanks.

15. Sadly, your setup won't support IPv6. IPv6 is very important. Not only for the future of the internet – but also if you have on of the many ISPs that doesn't serve you a public IPv4.

16. always used openVPN. I put wiregaurd on our company QA servers, I did have some issues with it but nothing too crazy. I don't think it's production ready though

17. Dude why not show how to connect to wireguard server from linux? So many wireguard tutorials on how to setup the wg server but nobody is showing how to connect to the damn thing in linux. Openvpn is super easy in gnome you just have the option to select the file in the vpn settings.

18. What version of rancher are you using? 2.5.1 doesn’t look that way and I can’t seem to get it to work.

19. Just set up a multihop wireguard gateway using OPNSense and it already seems more reliable and fast than my old raspberrypi OPENVPN setup, there's almost no reason to use OPENVPN anymore if your VPN provider offers Wireguard.

20. Probably a dumb question. If you have 2 totally separate networks at home that do not talk together,, do you need to setup 2 implementations of Wireguard? One for each network. Loved the video. Thanks.

22. Hey Tim, awesome video. I actually installed wireguard a couple days ago but I installed it with PIVPN, its incredibly easy to setup and you can choose between openvpn or wireguard

24. this not works out of the box on rancher setup on a little older kernel, headers missing, etc. Nothing that cannot be handled, but in the video is missing 🙂

25. I tried to do this in a rancher installed on centos 8, but I got an error because the compilation is seeking for ubuntu or debian. I think that the container can run in any linux, is not?

26. I tested NordVPN/OpenVPN vs WG and saw no better performance or speed. Can you comment on this with your findings?

27. I would wonder what kind of problems you or the others of your audience have had I set up many WireGuard Servers and never run in any kind of problems except i fucked up the config files for server/host. I love WireGuard 🙂 – The speed is much better then the older OpenVPN-Protocol

30. my ISP gives me a dynamic IP, how do I get my DNS to point to my IP and auto update it?

35. I like what you do man <3 keep going i suggest you to get look at Pritunl it's vpn solution to provide [ipsec+wireguard+openvpn] in easy way you will like it bro!

36. Having run OpenVPN for a few years I had heard about WireGuard but never really tried it out.
    After watching this and seeing how easy it was I just retired my OVPN setup for a Wireguard one. So much easier to setup and faster speeds as well. IDK why I didn't switch sooner tbh

37. i cant ping the 10.13.13.x subnet when i set this up. How can i ping the connected devices from my local network?
