  2. Lee, I use ip vanish for my iptv and have to use a different country else it won't connect. But with wiregaurd it will not find any servers so I have had to go back to open vpn. Any ideas on how to fix?

  3. Hi Lee i tried wireguard on my 4k firestick and it worked somewhat…open vpn speed 95; wireguard speed 89. The only thing is the wireguard did not work at all on my firestick lite or my firebox tv 1st gen…🤔

The only thing that bothers me about wireguard is the Curve 25519 Elliptic curve Diffie Hellman key agreement as there has been a fair bit of talk about certain 3 letter agency's supplying those keys in cyber security land, and if they know the elliptic curve used to create the key they can backward engineer the encryption. Not sure if this is the case for this but definitely something to be aware of, an I won't be using it on that basis.

  19. Hiya Lee. I’ve just had TalkTalk ultra fast fibre to home fitted and was disappointed with speed through ipvanish . I spoke to their support team and they gave me settings. Which was to use on open vpn. Not wireguard. I’ve just done speed test again. On open vpn I getting about 150mps. On wireguard was half that.
    Maybe doesn’t work for everybody. Good info anyway. Thanks for all your help.

  20. I have IPVanish on my firestick & and just tried the wireguard setting. I had 66 download on open vpn & then switched to wireguard & it slowed down to 30 download speed. 🤷🏻‍♂️🤔 I didn’t work for me.
