  1. Old lorance was rf not gps. System has since been shut down.
That boat would be scrap if it weren't kept under a covered slip. Seal everything above water or you'll be redoing all the interior wood.
In hate AC/DC refrigerators, household will do.
Please install a halon system in the engine compartment. And for the sake of god, please run the engine blowers especially when refueling!

  2. Good thing it has Carter Carburetors, if it had Holleys as soon as you turned on the fuel pumps from sitting, the gaskets would leak everywhere, and if you didn't see it in time…You'd have a fire…Happened to a friend of mine!

  3. i have the exact same boat..only difference are the motors…mine are 351 windsors…this is great to see! and im hoping i can pick up some tips on what to do with mine

  4. I'm a second generation marine mechanic. My dad was telling me about a time he had to replace an engine block located under the bedroom floor of a 50 foot yacht and down a small flight of stairs. The interior was white carpet of course. That was a chore to get out of the boat! A couple of guys had to carefully wrestle it up the stairs trying not to spill oil or get anything on this nice white interior. Marine repairs are something else at times!

  5. I'm thinking this a 73? Because it still has teak on the aft deck and command deck. 71 had glass hull and full teak decks. Next time I stumbled across a buy I'm emailing you. You need a better bird dog for buying.

  6. Great boat! I had a 1978 Tri cabin for 15 years and loved it. Guided throughout the great lakes. Mine had Chrysler 360s with conventional drives. Carried a 11 ft dinghy on Davis in the rear. Happy cruising.

  7. I don't know, most people are giving away 30-40 foot boats from the 70s-80s by me on Long Island, surrounded by water. I guess the fact that it's in the water and the engines run ups the value some but Covid or not, that doesn't seem like more than a $5,000 boat to me. Whos to say the shape of the hull without a survey. Bu hey, if you get it up to snuff and are happy then that's all that matters

  8. The guy must was renting the boat to somebody and they took off and left everything in it might be strange the owner would leave everything

  9. Never say "almost everything works." It's very bad luck. Also, welcome to driving a twin. You're about to be extremely confused, then very happy when you figure it out.

  10. It's NOT a Yacht Sport! It's a Lake Divot. A hole in fresh water you will pour money into. Yachts are Salt Water Divots that idjits buy to impress the world with how quickly you can go broke trying to impress people that think you're an idjit. Yes prices are crazy. There's a guy down the street trying to sell his 10 year old truck camper for $40k for the last 18 months. I offered him exactly what it's worth. $6500. He laughed at me. It's still there and he's still an idjit.
