✨ Summary of chapter: This story is adapted from The Iliad, a Greek epic poem which was written by the blind poet Homer. The war was started when Paris( son of Priam, King of Troy) took Helen, wife of Menelaus, king of Sparta. The Trojan war was fought between Greeks and Troy for over 10 years. Greeks besieged city of Troy for nine years. both sides fought but neither side could win. many warriors of both side got killed and Achilles, the Greek warrior who was blessed to be protected from wounds and diseases also got killed when an arrow hits its heel which was only weak part of his body. Then seeing their struggling army, Greek resort to trick. They pretended to withdraw their army and hide many soldier in a hollow wooden horse. Other soldiers were hiding in nearby island. Troy soldiers took wooden horse as a trophy of victory to city of Troy. but in night when all Troy soldiers got tired and slept, soldiers of Greeks came out of wooden horse and opened the gates of city to allow other Greek soldiers to come inside the city. They set the city of Troy on fire and soldiers of Troy got killed in their bed. finally, Menelaus took his wife, Helen to city of Sparta.
