Giant T-28 “Trojan” FOB

This model is the Moki test carrier for the two twin engine powered 1/4 scale Ju-188, which is under construction and will be finished in 2018. So there is enough time to put some flight hours on both engines.

  1. Beautiful model and excellent flying display. I worked on the Real Deal back in the day when I was still an active A&P Aircraft Mechanic.
The real aircraft is a very capable aircraft when flown within its design parameters and can do all that a competent pilot asks of it, again within its design parameters.
I enjoy the sounds of a Radial engine and the Moki engine powering this fine model is no slouch either. My only complaint is the exhaust pulse sounds. It would sound FAR more realistic if first funneled into a collector then overboard.
The.orginal aircraft with, say an R1830 radial has exhaust pipes in several places and actually helps to create the unique sound that earned the entire aircraft the moniker of sounding like Chitty Chitty Bang Bang from the movie. I oftentimes miss working on warbirds.

  2. ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL, much respect Sir! I know it's not the same experience, but currently fly the lazy man's Eflight 4S T-28 1.2m and it tracks like a champ. I'm sure flying your beautiful aircraft is a rush like no other! Thanks for the great video.

  3. I did in the early 90's work on a full scale T28 rebuild and I have to admit, this scale one is just AWESOME. Still rookie in RC, but would love to find an awesome scale model like this one. I know this one is scratch build. THUMBS UP to the builder. If it ever come for sale… I would love to be aware.

  4. that is a real nice t-28. I just wonder why everyone uses the same paint job. there were 6 squadrons flying t-28s. I was in VT-2, am doing a repaint on a 1400mm t-28 now. that aircraft no longer exists as it was lost in a crash in Canada.

  5. Great job on the video. Wonderful plane the T-28 they fly like a dream. Mine is not that big. But at 80 inches is still a good sized plane. Again great video

  6. As with most model flyers, the plane looks scale on the ground but has no resemblance to the real thing when flown like a pylon racer. Sad!! Watch some videos of the real thing and back off the throttle.
